Dreams And Nightmares

Knock me out,
Leave me sensless,
Block out my thoughts,
Alienate my senses,

Relieve me of the pain,
That makes me cower,
Send it away,
For these few precious hours,

Sleep is so great,
So empty and serene,
Unless of course...
